Egyptomania
Visitors to Torquay Museum in Devon have the opportunity to take part in an interactive exhibition experience in which they are challenged to separate fact from fiction and uncover the truth behind the 'Curse of the Mummy's Hand'.
The story is based upon recorded events surrounding the discovery of King Tutankhanun's tomb by Howard Carter and the untimely death of Lord Carnarvon.
Egyptomania is an adaptation of the BBC INteractive Story Telling Exhibition Project that was piloted at the Birmingham Mailbox in November 2005. This project used innovative RFID technology to move visitors through a themed exhibition consisting of narrative videos, related artefacts and interactive challenges.

I firmly believe in the power behind the story of the curse of Tutankhamun and see it as an opportunity for people to learn about ancient Egypt.
