Zap Art achive

The Zap Archive website was launched in November 2007 as part of Zap Art’s 25th Anniversary celebrations.

Organised as a timeline this highly accessible and illustrated archive documents twenty-five years history of Zap productions: the comedy, cabaret, poetry, film, installation, dancing, theatre, music, street art, pantomime, alternative circus, festivals and more.

The archive is composed of a series of cultural artefacts collected over this time period including publications, programmes, publicity, photographs and video footage. It is also linked to Programmes of Study at the University of Brighton, enabling students to research recent cultural phenomena as well as gain experience and skills related to archiving.

The site is the result of a classic Desktop production involving many of our comprehensive range of services: archiving and volunteer management; website design and content management
