Consultancy is an integral part of all our work and it is rare that we are 'sounded out' without being commissioned to undertake some aspect of the project.
Nonetheless, we have been independently consulted on specific issues and are happy to give a considered opinion on the feasibility of projects given their budget, timescale and specification. For example, when Glasgow City Council was preparing its £27.9m refit of the Kelvingrove, we were asked to analyse its ICT infrastructure's capability to cope with the museum's technical aspirations and to pilot touchscreen interactives such as a family orientated e-jigsaw.
We have also been consulted by BBC Factual and Learning about the use of RFID technology to control visitor flow through an exhibition. This led to an innovative project designed to make BBC content more accessible to a local audience.
TECHNICAL KNOW HOW
Our technical team is well equipped to check your maths. It's routine for it to question if it's possible for x hundred visitors to download the same xMB video clip at the same time?
INTERPRETATION OF IDEAS
We have also been employed as 'multimedia interpreters' to aid collaboration between disparate groups, freelance individuals or departments in large organisations that do not speak the same language! Usually, this involves converting, for example, a marketing executive's request for a 'pink ambience' into 'make the default background RGB value x, y, z'.
VALUABLE EXPERIENCE
Sometimes a well directed piece of advice is priceless. Our response to a client's plans, that we "did not believe that the project could be successfully completed within the timescale and restraints", subsequently proved accurate - leading to realistic and achievable future objectives.
We are committed to serving our customers needs through our continuous improvement programme to deliver products that exceed expections. We will comment on the suitability of your content for your audience. We are also proactive in proposing design enhancements and are always mindful of your on-going need to keep your product up-to-date.
